Traditional Ropes

Bollin Rigging stock a range of synthetic, Hempex, ropes suitable for the garden and home - the rope looks and feels like a traditional Manila rope without the shrinkage and eventual rotting of the natural fibre.

Hempex rope is ideal for post and rope fencing, traditional rose swags, boundary ropes, climbing ropes and swings and even cat scratching posts. Our traditional style Hempex rope is the ideal material for the garden being rot proof and, in use, the rope will weather over time to blend in with its natural surroundings.

Hempex rope is available in 19mm - 25mm - 32mm diameters and is ideal for use in the garden or as handrails. 

Hempex rope can be supplied in lengths up to 220 meters for quick delivery to anywhere in the country.

Spliced eyes and decorative knots can be fitted to rope prior to dispatch and we can finish the rope ends with either a traditional whipping or heat sealed to stop the rope from inlaying in use..

We also stock brass-hook end-caps for interior and exterior use.

Delivery is free on orders over £125.00 in value and charged at cost (maximum ?10.00) on other amounts.

Using Hempex Rope

Fixing rope to posts can be achieved by either drilling a clearance hole through the post, passing the rope through the hole and securing by driving a screw or nail through the rope or using galvanized eyes attached to the side of the post, which we can provide.

We keep large stocks of manila rope available for same day dispatch - please let us know what length you require (remembering to take account of "swag" and knots) and we will send out the rope by 24hr carrier asap.
